Fitness Is Easy, Being Out Of Shape Is Hard

A whole lot of people do not know how to keep fit, so don’t worry you are not the only one. People like you, yes!

People just like you, get a lot of misleading information and advice on fitness. It is not hard to keep fit; it is not even hard to get fit.

Can I tell you’re a secret? You can be overweight and fit. Yes, it is true.(1) Ok, you don’t believe me, well do a research on sumo wrestlers.

Being fit is simply having the energy to be active. To get the energy only needs for you to eat foods that give you a lot of energy.

Along with energy foods, you are going to have to drink a lot of water and keep active.

What people seem to believe is that getting fit and keeping fit, involves long hard gym work or a rigorous diet.

Gym training is different from getting or staying in shape. The gym is not needed unless you want to get fit immediately, if you want to get fit RIGHT NOW, or if you want to build muscles.

What It Takes

Let me enlighten your darkness, if you eat the right kinds of foods, in the right portions, at the right times, complimented with a lot of water, PLAIN WATER, and any activity that makes you perspire, that will be sufficient for you to keep fit.

Your fitness level is determined by your diet and how active you are.

I know you see those people on TV and in the gym asking you “Do you want to get in shape like me”.

Let me tell you this, you don’t need to be in their kind of shape, you only need to get in the shape you desire, the shape that you are comfortable with.

Not because you can’t run for seven days straight does not mean you are not fit.

If you can run for twenty minutes and don’t die, means you are fit, though; you have the energy to keep active.

Your fitness level, however, might not be ‘A’ class but average people are not ‘A’ class either. I am a ‘B-‘ and I am happy.

Keeping It Fit

Exercising is essential to keeping in shape, and keeping in shape is essential to an active and healthy lifestyle.

They are many different types of exercises and many different ways to exercise, so when you chose to exercise make sure it is one designed specifically for your needs.

Strolling in the park, walking to work if applicable, instead of driving can be considered as exercising.

This type of exercise may not be suitable for everybody, but it is still classified as exercising. Your fitness level is what determines the type of exercise you are going to be doing.

Starting Out

If you are completely out of shape and you know if you are out of shape, nobody has to tell you, you can hear it in your breathing.

If you are completely out of shape, then you are going to get the opportunity to learn about all types of exercising.

When starting out, doing simple exercises like sit ups, push ups, pull ups, long distance walking and jogging are what is recommended.

If however you are in a hurry to get fit, then you can take it to the gym where the instructors are going to give you the same set of exercises to do in the beginning, with a little bit of weight training.

The Upgrade

When you get your fitness level up from ground level, you can get more active with your exercises. You can start including more aerobics, more distance, and velocity when you are walking or jogging.

You can go up to a full intermediate run. You can again take it to the gym. The instructors are going to introduce you to aerobics with weights, and this is different from weight training.

Olympic Status

Now with all the weight training and aerobics with weights that you have done, you are sure to gain a bit of strength along with upping your fitness level.

You are now ready for the hard stuff and that is all in the gym, so get ready to pump some iron and build some muscles.

There is a simpler way to get in shape, though, but not everybody has the hand, eye coordination, or the balance, or maybe even the sport sense to play sports.

Yes! Playing your favorite sport is the simplest exercise. For one you are doing something you love and it is doing wonders for your body.

You have to do it on a consistent basis, though, a match every two to three weeks just won’t cut it.

The Reason

Now we exercise to keep in shape. You might live a bit longer if you live a healthy lifestyle.

Exercise reduces the risk of heart attacks because it keeps your blood flowing, and the heart pumping, less likely chance of clogging of the arteries.(2)

Exercising keeps your stress level down and the chest plate open.(3) I had really bad asthma when I was young and when I started high I got into basketball and never had an attack from then on.

Conclusion

If you are out of shape or unfit, it is easy to get in shape. The first thing you have to do is ignore negative people, it does not matter who they are ignoring them.

Misery loves company. The next thing you need to do is change your diet, and I am not telling you to change it to celery and crackers, but you are going to have to change.

To research yourself; find out what it is you need in your diet to make it specific to your needs.

If you are going to have to lay off the junk food, lay off junk food or fashion healthy food to look like and taste like junk food.

The last thing you need to do is to get active or get more active. Walk more, jog, do more active things that you like.

OH! One more thing, stay focused and determined you will get there.
